Quova, NextLinx Partner to Enhance Global Trade Compliance

Geolocation to Help Protect International Importers/Exporters From Costly Regulatory Violations

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF. and ROCKVILLE, MD. -- February 24, 2005 -- Quova, Inc., the world's leading provider and developer of web geography services and technologies, and NextLinx Corporation, the leading provider of global trade content and management solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to help global trade companies comply with regulations against trading with restricted parties -- embargoed countries, terrorist organizations or other sanctioned customers.

NextLinx will offer Quova's patented GeoPoint geolocation solution, which identifies the geographic location of Internet users in real time, in conjunction with the NextLinx Restricted Party Screening (RPS) Engine to help importers and exporters determine whether they are transacting with an illegal, blocked or sanctioned customer. Regulatory violations, even inadvertent, can result in trade sanctions, fines or imprisonment of executives.

"Executing global business in today's security-conscious world is all about knowing your customer," said Marie Alexander, president and CEO of Quova. "NextLinx is setting the standard for global trade compliance, and Quova's geolocation will help raise that standard even higher by enabling companies to know where their online customers really are. This is a timely partnership with tremendous potential for Quova, NextLinx and the global enterprises we work with."

"Screening your partners, suppliers and customers is a must for today's global corporation to remain competitive, reduce risk and maintain regulatory compliance," said Rajiv Uppal, founder, president and CEO of NextLinx Corporation. "We are thrilled to align with Quova to offer our joint customers the ability to verify their customers' geographic locations in real-time coupled with our restricted party screening capability. The NextLinx, Quova partnership will provide the market with a higher level of fraud protection, enabling companies worldwide to avoid costly regulatory violations and ensure legitimate customer transactions.

NextLinx Restricted Party Screening identifies whether a party to a shipment has been placed on any official denied persons or illegal transshipper list, blocked from import or export transactions, or sanctioned by a government for illegal acts such as child or convict labor violations.
